Xinjiang Medical University (XMU) Urumqi, China, a not-for-profit university with five affiliated teaching hospitals provides medical education and clinical care to the people of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, an area in northwest China that is the country's largest province. XMU is collaborating with faculty from Harvard Medical School to develop innovative research and educational programs, and support the growth of XMU's cardiovascular, oncology and animal research centers.
