Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd, headquartered in Mumbai, India, owns and operates a network of superspeciality hospitals in India. Our collaboration with Wockhardt, initiated in 2000, has focused on the development of high-quality facilities and clinical programs, as well as the operating systems across its hospital network to enable continuous improvement in patient care, staff training and development, and quality management. In 2003, we teamed with Wockhardt to develop and implement a performance improvement plan for the newly opened Wockhardt Hospitals in Mumbai, leading in 2005 to accreditation from Joint Commission International. Wockhardt Hospitals Mumbai initially commenced services with a heart hospital and subsequently added additional specialty centers including orthopedic, neurological, ophthalmologic, and minimally invasive surgery. The organization continues to work with us to establish quality benchmarks that will ultimately be disseminated throughout the network.
