Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), Germany is a large public medical institution with a strong focus on research, clinical services, and patient care. LMU has a special commitment to educating student at all levels, including postgraduate and specialized training programs. LMU runs two university hospitals with 2,500 beds in total. We continue to collaborate with LMU in the development of new approaches to medical education throughout Germany, Europe, and Asia. The alliance has afforded LMU faculty and students in particular the opportunity to gain insight into Harvard Medical School's curriculum through clinical rotations at Harvard-affiliated hospitals and specially designed courses in medical education. Select LMU students have worked with the faculty and leaders at LMU to have their curriculum projects and ideas implemented in the reformed medical curriculum.
