• The Institute for Nursing Healthcare Leadership (INHL), under the leadership of Joyce C. Clifford PhD, RN, FAAN, serves as the representative for The Consortium of Harvard-affiliated Nursing Services to promote cross-institutional collaboration and scholarship among the nursing services of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Cambridge Health Alliance, Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Its mission is to increase nursing's participation in health services leadership through inter-professional collaboration, leadership development, and scholarly work. The INHL collaborates with HMI on international professional development opportunities for nurses.

  • The MGH Institute of Health Professions, under the leadership of Ann Caldwell, is an interdisciplinary graduate school that prepares skilled health care specialists in clinical investigation, medical imaging, nursing, physical therapy and speech-language pathology. The MGH Institute is an affiliate of the Massachusetts General Hospital and a member of the Partners HealthCare System. Its mission is to educate health care professionals to become leaders in their disciplines, and includes fostering an interdisciplinary and diverse educational community. The MGH Institute collaborates with HMI on professional development opportunities for nurses and allied health professionals.

  • RMF Strategies, Inc., an entity of the Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions, under the leadership of Edwin D. Trautman, PhD, is collaborating with HMI to implement educational programs focused on reducing medical error in hospitals.
