- Q: Can someone from HMI provide me with medical advice?
- A: HMI does not own any hospitals and does not provide clinical care anywhere in the world. However, several Harvard-affiliated hospitals offer direct patient services, and can provide interpreters, if required:
- Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, International Programs Office
- Children's Hospital, Office of International Affairs
- Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
- Partners International Program (includes: Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Dana-Farber/Partners Cancer Care)
For online information about general health issues, please refer to the HMI Digital Library. - Q: Does HMI offer resources and information regarding medical care?
- A: HMI's Digital Library provides links to a broad range of publications and tools for locating information on health and medicine. Most of these resources are free of charge; however, some do require a user fee for full access. In addition, HMI provides our Partners with a suite of password-secured online resources available in the Resources for Partners section. If you are based at an HMI Partner Institution and would like to access these services, please contact your institution's HMI liaison for assistance.
